Rules

Punishments and punishment length are at administration discretion. Punishments extend to all FUNCRUSHER servers.

All servers

  1. Playing on this server is a privilege, not a right. The administrators of this server can ban you for any reason or no reason at all.
  2. If you are banned from a server, do not ban-evade. Having a dynamic IP is no excuse, the banlist is public for a reason. As a general rule, your punishment length will start fresh from the day you last ban-evaded.
  3. Do not use or link to any sort of cheat or cheating program. This includes (but is not limited to) wallhacks, aimbots, triggerbots, ping manipulation, client-enforced variable overrides, and modifications that purposefully exploit or crash the server. If in doubt, ask an administrator.
  4. Do not link to warez. Doom, Heretic, Hexen, and Strife can all be purchased from Steam and are not considered “Abandonware”.
  5. Do not harass other players. Smack-talking is encouraged, as are in-game grudges, but do not cross the line into creepy harassment..
  6. Do not maliciously interfere with an in-progress game. This includes (but is not limited to) tomfoolery like kicking people who are trying to play the game, and joining an organized game in the middle of play without permission.
  7. Do not connect to FUNCRUSHER via a proxy unless you have explicit permission from the administration. This applies to open proxies, private proxies that you pay for, proxies that you set up yourself, Tor, etc. In practice, the application of this rule is never going to be 100% accurate, so if you are mistakenly banned, please contact the administration and we will be happy to sort you out.

Private servers

All global rules apply, as well as the following specific rules:

  1. Do not give the password out to other players. The password to private servers is intended to be private and only given out at an administrator’s discretion.
  2. Do not alias. This doesn’t necessarily mean that not using your “real” name is an automatic kick, but players on the server should be able to know who they’re picking and/or are playing against. If there is any confusion at all, you should be expected to answer who you are without stringing them along.

Clan Scrimmage servers

All global rules apply, as well as the following specific rule:

  1. Do not alias. This doesn’t necessarily mean that not using your “real” name is an automatic kick, but players on the server should be able to know who they’re picking and/or are playing against. If there is any confusion at all, you should be expected to answer who you are without stringing them along.

Ranked servers

All global rules apply, as well as the following specific rule:

  1. Do not game the ranking system. There’s nothing wrong with repeatedly stomping bad players, but doing something along the lines of colluding with a friend to get your rank up will not be looked upon kindly.
